Kentuckyaki Wings
For the WingsIngredients:
- 3 Pounds chicken wings whole or cut up your preference
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- 1 Tablespoon Bluegrass Soy Sauce*
- 1 Tablespoon Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Kentuckyaki*
- 1 Teaspoon fresh ground black pepper*
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Garlic Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Colonna extra virgin olive oil*
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame oil
- 1 Tablespoon cooking olive oil*
- 3 Tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
- Black and white sesame seeds
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl except wings. When all ingredients are combined add wings tossing to coat set aside 30 minutes to 1 hour to marinate or over night
- Lightly oil a sheet pan, place wings on the sheet pan spacing them apart. Pour the remaining marinade over the wings and place in a 360 degree oven.
- Set timer for 30 minutes and at the 15 minute mark, glaze the wings with about half the glaze.
- Return to the oven for the next 15 minutes.
- Set timer for 15 more minutes at the half way point glaze the wings with the remaining glaze.
- Check for doneness the juices should run clear and the internal temperature should read 160 degrees
- Move wings to a serving dish, garnish with thinly sliced green onions and black and white sesame seeds.
Ingredients:
- 1/8 Cup dark brown sugar
- ½ Cup Kentuckyaki
- 1 Teaspoon Marash pepper flakes*
- ½ teaspoon chili powder*
- Mix all the ingredients in a glass bowl.
- Stir to combine and microwave for 2 minutes
- Use glaze as needed
You could make these “Kentuckyaki Fire Wings” just add 2 tablespoons garlic chili sauce to the glaze. That will over power the delicate balance of teriyaki to spice, but they always say you only live once.
